Skip the agency. Get a technical partner.

Senior engineering for funded B2B SaaS companies between $1M and $10M ARR. Sites, internal tools, AI integrations — built and maintained by one operator, accountable end to end.

No long-term contracts. Just a real conversation.

Built for this stage

Your product is real. Your site still feels seed-stage.

Three things I hear from every B2B SaaS founder.

Your homepage is killing demos.

Sales sends prospects to a site that doesn't explain the product or build trust.

The site hasn't scaled with you.

What worked at seed stage isn't keeping up with the team you've built or the deals you're chasing.

Stuck between a hire and an agency.

A full-time engineer is too early. Agency junior output isn't worth the price.

Guaranteed

The Studio Promise.

Four commitments I make on every project. No fine print.

On-time or 10% back.

If your launch date in our contract slips because of me, you get 10% refunded. No process to file. No questions asked.

90+ Lighthouse or I fix it.

Every site I ship hits 90+ Lighthouse Performance on launch. If yours doesn't, I fix it on my dime.

If the first design round doesn't capture your brand, I redo it free. Once. No defending the original, no upcharge.

Pay only after sign-off.

50% kickoff, 40% at staging approval, 10% at launch. You approve the work before the final payment ever goes through.

Process

How it works.

Intro call.

30 minutes. We figure out if this is a fit. No pressure.

Scope and kickoff.

Fixed quote, signed SOW, 50% deposit. I block your spot on the calendar and we start.

Build.

Design, dev, and review happen in tight loops. You get a staging link, not a black box. 40% due at staging.

Launch.

Site goes live. Final 10% due. You own everything — code, content, access.

About

Why Swire Studio.

I'm a senior engineer who builds things. Software for the past decade. An iOS app called Mesa. And now Swire Studio — a handful of website projects a year for B2B SaaS founders and operators. Senior engineering. Real partnership. Built by someone who ships his own stuff, for people who ship theirs.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

  • What size companies do you work with?

Funded B2B SaaS companies between $1M and $10M ARR — the stage where hiring a full-time engineer is premature but agency-tier prices for junior output don't make sense either.

  • How much do projects cost?

A Strategic Engagement starts at $2,500 and credits toward a Studio Sprint if you move forward. A Studio Sprint build starts at $20,000. The Partner Retainer is $2,500/mo, month-to-month. See the offers above for what's included — every project gets a custom quote after the intro call.

  • How long does a project take?

A Strategic Engagement runs 2–3 weeks. A Studio Sprint is a 30-day production build. The Partner Retainer is ongoing, month-to-month. Timelines start once scope is signed and the deposit is paid.

  • How does payment work?

Builds are split 50% at kickoff, 40% at staging approval, and 10% at launch — you approve the work before the final payment ever goes through. The Partner Retainer bills monthly. Stripe handles everything — credit card, ACH, or wire.

  • Why should I hire you instead of an agency?

Agencies bill $200+/hour and route your project through whichever junior is available. You get one senior engineer, accountable end to end. No PM layer, no rotating contractors, no junior surprises. The same person who scopes the work writes the code and ships it.

  • What do you need from me?

A clear sense of who your audience is, the rough shape of what you want the site to do, and your existing brand assets if you have them — logo, colors, type, photography. I'll guide you through everything else.

  • What tech stack do you use?

I match the stack to the project. Next.js + Tailwind for sites with dynamic content, CMS, or growing complexity. Plain HTML/CSS for sites where simplicity and speed are the point. Hosted on Vercel. Hand-coded — no Wix or Squarespace shortcuts. Your site is yours to keep and edit.

  • Do you do AI integrations?

Yes. AI features can be scoped into your Studio Sprint or handled as a follow-up engagement. Most useful when you already have a product and want to add LLM-powered features (RAG, agents, content generation).

  • Do you handle design or do I need to bring my own?

I handle the full design — type, layout, color, motion. If you have brand assets already, we build on those. If you don't, we'll define the visual direction together as part of the project.

  • What if my brand isn't fully defined yet?

Common with early-stage SaaS. The Studio Sprint includes design and copy direction, so we'll define the visual direction together as part of the build. I'm not a brand strategist, but I've shipped enough sites for founders in the messy middle to help you make decisions that hold up.

  • What happens after launch?

Every Studio Sprint includes 30 days of post-launch revisions. After that, the Partner Retainer ($2,500/mo) covers ongoing engineering and advisory — 6–8 hours a month, monitoring, infra, and a quarterly strategy call. It's optional, but most companies without a CTO keep it running.

  • Will I be able to update content myself after launch?

Yes. Every site comes with a CMS appropriate for your needs — Sanity, Notion, or Framer CMS depending on how much editing you'll do. You'll be able to update copy, add blog posts, swap images, and manage content without touching code.

  • Will I own the code?

Yes. The repo is yours. The hosting account is yours. I don't hold your site hostage if we ever part ways. Most studios won't tell you this — but you're paying me for the build, not for keys to your own front door.

  • What if I need to pause or cancel?

For builds: once the deposit's paid and we've kicked off, we're committed to seeing it through. If life happens, we'll work it out. The Partner Retainer is month-to-month — pause or cancel any time with reasonable notice.

  • Can you work with my existing site?

Yes — but usually only if we're meaningfully improving it. If your current site is in fine shape, I'll tell you that. If it needs a rebuild, we'll start fresh. No partial fixes on top of fragile foundations.

  • Do you work with clients outside the US?

Yes — I work with clients in any timezone. All calls and async work happen on Slack or email, and we'll schedule meetings around what works for both of us.
